Elati is located at a distance of 32 km from the city of Trikala. The access from Athens is from the national road Athens - Lamia and then following the national road to Trikala through Domokos (350 km). From Thessaloniki there are two main access routes, one from the National Road to Larissa and there following the exit to Trikala and the other via the Egnatia Road following the national road Grevena - Trikala.

Arriving in Trikala take the ring road of the city and follow the signs to Pyli, Elati, Perouli. The road to Pyli crosses the western Thessalian plain while after Pyli it passes between the straits between the mountains Itamos and Koziaka. The route from Pyli to Elati is 14 km. Just 2 km after the Gate, you can stop at the arched bridge of "Kamara" built in 1513 by Agios Vissarion.
